Top books for the everyday fashion and beauty lover!

My number one favorite book is Fashion Visionaries, by Linda Watson. If you love high fashion, then get your hands on this book!! In here you will read about every single fashion designer that has ever walked the planet! Designers you know well like Givenchy, Thomas Burberry, Gucci, Balmain, and about others who may not be so infamous but are just as genius. Like Vionnet and Schiaparelli. This book tells you about their history and their vision. It shows how we have evolved in fashion and how a lot has stayed classic and timeless like of that from Chanel. I get goose bumps just talking about this book!! I’m a high end fashion lover and my goal one day is to go to the shows and watch the amazing clothes that come down that runway!!

I have Kate Spade’s cook book and hosting book as well as the one pictured which is the “Things we love” book. In this book, you will find images of items in the amazing color red and a bloody mary recipe posted below, it’s so incredibly random throughout that it makes you just, smile. I mean how can polka dots, stripes, flowers and glitter not make you smile?! She even mentions Iris Apfel, the accessory Queen. If you have no idea who she is, look her up, follow her, she’s amazing and classy and you will want to raid her closet for all your fashion add ons!!

I have Emily Schuman’s two Cupcakes and Cashmere books, one is her  four seasons fashion edition and the next one she wrote was a home edition. Emily lives out in California with her husband and beautiful little girl and she has her own cupcakes and cashmere fashion line that is really pretty and adorable all wrapped into one! She’s fun to follow and a sweetheart as well. And hey if she’s great friends with Mandy Moore then you know she has great style and taste!

Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port’s books. Yes, I loved watching the Hills and I watched The City too, which Whitney ended up being the focus around that. Which that ended up introducing me to Olivia Palermo (another woman with great fashion taste) I want everything in her closet! But to focus on Lauren who has a beauty and Style book out, I really loved both. She has great fashion sense and style. I mean I grew up on the East Coast and she was West Coast girl but for some reason I always loved her the most. She seems so real. She got off the show to make something of her career and grew faster than the others I feel. Now Whitney always seemed the most level headed and focused. She is the kind of girl who takes fashion risks and has her own style and I really admire that in someone.

Victoria’s Beckham’s book about hair, heels and fashion tips, mainly. This woman is a classic icon. The most clean cut, straight edge, sexiest woman ever. If you don’t feel like this about her as well, then we can’t be friends. JK. All honesty though, it’s even a hard concept to grasp on how anybody could ever be like her. No one can touch this woman. Except David, he can! LOL I’ve always loved her classic sexy fashion sense and how she carries herself. There’s something very old fashioned and white gloved about her. Maybe because she’s British, whatever it is though I will continue to look up to her and hopefully one day actually afford her clothing!!

Last two, “Love, Style, Life,” by Garance Dore, who has created a book I believe to make us laid back fashion lovers more comfortable with high end fashion and ourselves. She gives me a vibe throughout that she herself didn’t have it all figured out at first and that’s ok. She still ended up knowing more about success, writing and the gorgeous fashion in Paris!

“Capture Your Style” by Aimee Song was a great find at…TARGET! It was around Christmas time last year and I saw it and it jumped out at me for some reason, before I even started my blog. Her book is about being a blogging influencer and all the tips, and advice one could give to another blogger or someone who wants to become a blogger. She talks about transforming your IG photos and what she recommends using all the way to how to showcase your own life as an influencer. So if this is a field you are looking to try yourself, this book was a huge help and great resource to use. Trust me ladies and Gents not all bloggers are “nice”. To me it’s been about 50/50. They either are happy for you and support you back or they are rude, short response, stalk your page for a day, unfollow you and either they don’t like you or don’t want competition. It’s a tough world to get into and nothing is ever easy. I will say though, that I am the 50% supporter. We are all different and unique in our own ways and you got to own that about yourself in order to set yourself aside!

If you have any questions about any of these books or some others I have read that aren’t listed then email or message me. Reading is great for our brains, it motivates and inspires us! Peel away from your phones and computers and go read. Currently I’m reading, Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. I didn’t post that here because I’m not finished it yet but so far it will be on the next list!!

Heads up, my next book list will be about spiritual readings and financial readings and therapeutic readings. I will even have a makeup book list! This was my fashion, beauty, and style list! Hope you Enjoy!
