Kick Winter Blues in the Butt!!

I know a lot of us suffer from seasonal depression and I know that I really do, especially around this time of year because winter just seems to be dragging by now. So on days where I feel super blah and down and exhausted even, I just try and think of things on my head that can take my mind off the dreary cold ass days!!

1. Around this time of year, all the spring and even summer stuff is hitting the stores. So go out and restock and replace your winter wear and goodies for Spring and Summer. Be premature, I mean we all are with the Fall season, why not in the spring??

1. I replace my philosophy bubble bath from Gingerbread and Candy Cane scents, to Margarita and Raspberry scents.

2. I buy bathing suits early, Especially from Target, got to get the good ones early!

3. Look at bags and switch out to bright colors, I know I need to add a pink one to my collection this year! Target, Marshalls and Outlets are my go to places for bags! And now Poshmark (thank you Jen Taylor) Follow her on IG for her beauty blog. She is my makeup artist in all my pictures and she has great taste and style.

4.Refresh your makeup! Probably time to anyway, especially with the mascara and anything liquid. Tarte Cosmetics just came out with a really cute spring line. Includes, cactus, sweet scents and beach scents! MAC (my line) is coming out with a GORGEOUS artistry line (the palettes are beautiful) and a Cherry Blossom line! I’ll announce this on IG when it arrives! Also check out the Korean beauty line at ULTA for some fun little skin care items.

5.Buy a new book, maybe something that intrigues you or teaches you something new.

6. Take a spring class at your local community college. I’m taking one for my blog, but maybe drawing, cooking or photography.

7. Switch out your holiday candles, to spring scents, and your door mats, and flags, outside decorations.

8. Clothes…go snag the rompers and dresses early. Think heels, sandals and even flip flops soon. All the good stuff goes quick.

9. Switch up your diet ladies and gents. I know I’m getting sick of comfort food and so is my body. Get a 30 day cleanse from me from Arbonne. Drink water  infused with fruit, switch up your veggies and fruit when you can. Trade chips for hummus and veggies or bagel chips if you still need that crunch. Switch your cheese with your wine with pickles and olives. Have a cheat day with Pizza but cut back as much as you can. You will thank me come summer.

11. Start early on your spray tans. Loving Tan is at ULTA finally and I hear that has no bad tan smell and its bronze not orange looking. YAY!!! Also, St Tropez has a Marshmallow scented tanning mousse for a limited time. Beforehand though don’t’ forget to have a Kate Sommerville Glow facial while at ULTA!

12. Plan date night with your man and HIS friends. Grab your girls and go get some beers instead of wine.

13. Plan a girls trip, studies say its good for us to take trips with our girlfriends. If you say to yourself I don’t have many girlfriends. Well I’m going to say to you, well open yourself up to people, because a couple years ago I only had a small handful of friends. I was depressed and standoffish to people. I’ve opened my heart up and broke my walls down and now I have several girlfriends. Even different groups of friends and I have so much fun with all of them now!

14.Change your look! Refer to my last blog post. I’ve been feel frumpy dumpy lately (LOL) and I always wanted to dress more, well, sexy. I wanted to accentuate my figure more and embrace it! Want a different look and don’t know where to start? Ask me! Lets go shopping!

15. Try to push through the rest of the winter season and get your butt up and out of the house! Take Vitamins, drink a crap ton of water and hit up your friends, go on the dates. Bring passion back into the bedroom (yes, I’m going there), sex helps the mood! I could list some many other things and go on and on, but I’m just listing a few major ones. It is not always easy to do this everyday, but I practice more and more as I get older and it helps.

16. Daylight savings is on March 10th, we are almost there!
