Fine Dining Places for the Perfect Date in Baltimore City

Restaurants in Baltimore City, places I have personally been, or really want to try! Bought all these new dresses recently, now it’s time to wear them!

Restaurants~

1. Never been to Magdalena, located at The Ivy Hotel in Baltimore. The location looks stunning, and they have outdoor seating on this little terrace. Located at 205 E Biddle Street in Baltimore City. The chef Mark Levy has looked to have worked in Africa and France and has won awards. Which I would expect seeing the prices of the menu! This place is very much a splurge type of date. Maybe a special occasion?! Appetizers start in the $20’s and they even offer Caviar at $175!! I’m thinking Birthday dinner this year!

2. This place I have been to and lower in price, I love to eat at the Dobbin House In Gettysburg. Eat in the basement, where everything is lit up by candlelight. It’s super cozy though and they have amazing French Onion soup! I would say the food is American cuisine and tastes yummy. This is more of a slightly dressy but casual dinner night out.

3. Restaurante Tio Pepe In Baltimore is Authentic Spanish and Mediterranean infused and the only restaurant in Baltimore that is! Look at this menu, the even have snails in a butter sauce, and yes I’d so try that! The prices look to be under $20 per meal, which is fantastic for dinner. Again probably not a super fancy dinner date, but it is nice to switch up the cuisine every now and again.

4. So all of these next restaurants I have not been to, so all but one. So I hope in the future we can all talk about them together. I had no idea there were so many great restaurants in Baltimore. Wow! Sotto Sopra, next on my list to try, is off of N Charles Street, and is claimed to be “Simple, fun, honest food.”  This is Italian Cuisine, and fancy! The menu looks small, but it looks like it may change from time to time. Look to spend a little bit of money here too. Meat and Fish entrees run about high $20’s to mid $30’s. Appetizers are around $15 or so and they have homemade pasta dishes from low to mid $20’s and meat and cheese boards for to pair with your wine! They also have, get this, Opera night, for 5 courses for $62 dollars.  So again a little splurge here too, but that would be a neat experience with Opera! 2019 dates for that are April 14th and May 19th and I would assume to book ahead. I really want to go here now!

5. Cosima is a southern Italian restaurant in Baltimore, They have a gorgeous industrial type vibe inside and also, outside seating as well with lights strung up at night. This restaurant is located off Jones Falls right near Woodberry Kitchen. I’ll be telling my friend Milena about this since she is Sicilian, great idea for her and her man to check out too. The prices are also around upper $20’s to upper $30’s for meals, so plan to spend here as well.

6. The Black Olive is a Greek restaurant off Bond Street in Baltimore, and I use to see this all the time when I was out in the bar scene and always wanted to go there. I always forget it’s there because I feel like it’s tucked away. The Black Olive not only offers dinner, but wine events and private events too. Wine events is worth looking into in my opinion. Wine and Greek food? Yum! This is fancy Greek cuisine so also around the same cost as the others above. Remember, I wanted to find places to go that I could get dressed up for!

7. The last place I want to try is The Bygone, known to be “Baltimore’s most elevated dining experience.” It is at the top of The Four Season’s Hotel in Harbor East. Great views of Baltimore City and has a 1920’s vibe. There is a strict dress code, so fancy dress here for sure!! They have everything from chilled seafood, to Caviar, Steak Tartare, Truffle deviled eggs, Foie Gras, Lobster made a couple ways, Chilean Sea bass, Rockfish, Filet, Beef Wellington, Lamb, Prime Rib, Duck, and even sauces to choose from. What can I say this is a restaurant on the top of The Four Seasons. There are no prices listed, so I’m sure it’s safe to say expect to spend over $200 for two! I would love to go here, but even Brunch is $60 a person, and $25 for bottomless mimosa’s. So this may be a future date, for when I rack in some money!  $$$$$

I hope this gives everyone local some ideas for a fancy date night out. I also hope that it gives those just visiting an idea of how Baltimore City does have some classy dining and places to visit. Just like all cities, we have dangerous areas, but we do have great taste as well! Enjoy your fine dining everyone and whip out those sexy dresses for yourself and him!
