Best Hair Products for Straight and Curly Hair

Let’s talk hair care, shall we? So I have been using an assortment of hair products lately. Obviously not all together because that would be gross. So I will break these products down and discuss the benefits of them individually and what they have done for my hair personally.

  1. My all time favorite product and my number one love right now is a product from IGK (sold at Ulta now) and it’s the “Good Behavior” Keratin-like treatment smoothing spray. So After I blow out my hair I spray this on my hair in sections before I put a flat iron to it. This smooths and softens the hair immensely. So really good for dry, frizzy or curly hair. I sometimes like a super sleek looking hair style with my new lob haircut. Just a heads up with this product though, spray in an open space or room. It is a little strong if you are in say a smaller bathroom.
  2.  My first most used hair products are obviously my shampoo and conditioner, and I have been really liking the TIGI Bed Head in Colour Goddess, it smells like caramel (Also at Ulta). I color my hair brown and I’m naturally a blonde so I like to prolong my hair as long as possible.  My hair grows super fast, and that’s probably because of my next amazing product.
  3. Sugar Bear Hair gummy vitamins (sold at Ulta). I have been using and swearing by these vitamins for 2 1/2 years now. With me going back and forth coloring and highlighting my hair, it was becoming over processed. I lost luster and strength and not so much growth because we grow a hundred strands a day. Sugar Bear vitamins do take up to 3 months to notice a difference and them actually doing their jobs. That’s just how our bodies are made. So give it 3 months ladies!
  4.  Now for pre-styling hair products, I use Redken’s Iron Shape 11, to protect my hair from heat, blow dryer and styling tools. I also use a leave in conditioning treatment, that I got from my FabFitFun box called Orlando Pita Play. This maintains shine, helps repair split ends and also enhances curls, which sometimes I wear my natural curly hair.
  5. So for my curly hair products I use Miss Jessie’s Curly Pudding, either found at Target or can order from Target. I had to order mine. It’s a creamy purple texture and smells like grapes, I love it. Now if I want a tighter curl I skip the pudding and use my good old fashioned Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Scrunching gel. Been using this for years and it never lets me down. The next day I go in with that leave in conditioner and it smooths down the frizz and gives back some body and texture to my curls.
  6.  Too really soften the hair if it gets dry I will use my Moroccan Gold Series Hair mask and with this you can even put it not only on your ends, but also on the scalp as well.
  7. Now lastly with cleaning the hair while I wait to wash it, (I was mine every three days) I love using the Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak dry shampoo in Warm Sugar. This not only works, but it’s not expensive, it smells amazing, and it gives my hair volume as well, like better than a volumizing spray.
  8. To end my hair products list, I am going out with a product that is super popular right now. It is The R+Co Acid Wash Cleansing Rinse. It cleanses the hair from build up without stripping the hair of its natural oil and color. Redken also sells a vinegar rinse that I hear is amazing as well. So with all the products above, this was my perfect ending, just to let everyone know that all this hair products are amazing. but don’t forget to give the hair a rest, take your vitamins and take care of your hair! Or one day you may be teasing it to cover bald spots. Haha Just kidding!!

I hope you ladies discover some of these new products and that they really work for you just as well as they have worked for me! Enjoy!
