New Year Resolutions for 2020

Happy New Year everyone, it feels great to be back finally, doing what I love! So much has happened since my last post in AUGUST, whattttttt, it’s been that long since I last wrote a blog post. So a little about why I haven’t posted in months is because I hit a wall. All I was doing was working and going to the gym. Not exciting and no content to give you guys. Yes, I could have come up with so random topics, but the truth was I wasn’t feeling motivated or inspired by anything. My job in retail is actually stressful, especially these past two months with the holidays here. Matt and I occasionally got out with friends but that was maybe like twice. I had pneumonia and Matt got sick three times. It hasn’t been an easy past couple of months and no one wants to read about work and the gym, lets get real, right? Finishing up 2019 however took what I like to call a magical turn. I have so many wonderful things happening in 2020!

One of course is going to be my WEDDING, my marriage to my best friend and I can not wait to be married to Matt for the rest of my life! Now whoever said wedding planning is fun, is well only talking about the fun things. Like dress shopping and the bridal shower, and bachelorette party. Things that are not the bride and groom’s responsibility. Finding a venue and knowing who to invite, who to ask to be your bridesmaids, you want so many people standing up there with you, but it costs a lot of money to pay for weddings. I want a wedding that I’m going to enjoy and that is one of my goals for 2020.

Another exciting thing to announce is that I will be going back to school for real estate! I’m very excited to go down a different path career wise. I will be working for my best Jen and her husband Jonah, two people who are very smart and successful and a great team to learn from and look up to as well. I will still be available for freelancing with makeup, but it’s just something I realized I enjoy on the side and isn’t a steady enough career for me. Matt and I dream of having at least one child and building our dream home in a few years, so unfortunately being a makeup artist just isn’t financially practical for us. Plus with stress of retail it just isn’t enjoyable as much anymore. So I will have my license but June and will be able to help sell your homes. I will be very excited to help others find their dream homes.

This will also be the year for babies and knowing me, I love babies and can’t wait to have my own one day. One of my best friends Tabetha is pregnant with her first child and she recently announced it’s a girl, and I know she is going to be a wonderful mother. I’m so happy for her and her husband Zane. They have been such amazing friends. Also, Christmas day, Matt’s cousin Lauren announced she was pregnant and her older sister Ashley is pregnant as well. How cool is it to have sisters be pregnant at the same time? Those cousins with be a few months apart and will be playmates and I just think that is quite the blessing. I can’t wait to meet all these babies this year.

Now announcing all these amazing events to come in 2020 and realizing what a blessed year it’s going to be, this brings back my passion to blog, and motivation to be open to new blessings. I’m excited to travel, this month to NYC (Matt’s never been there), I hope he likes it there and can’t wait to show him amazing places there. I will possibly get to do a meet and greet there to with one of my favorite bloggers Olivia Rink, who now lives there with her new fiance as well. We are of course going back to NC, Emerald Isle with family in August, hopefully a weekend again in St. Michael’s and lastly our HONEYMOON!! I’m thinks Turks and Caicos, it looks beautiful with its crystal blue waters, private for some romance too.

Thank you all for always supporting my blog, and I can’t wait to bring you more content and hopefully better content this year! Any wedding tips too is always appreciated. I have no idea what I’m doing now that it’s here. Cheers to a new year and a new decade, can’t wait for new music, new fashion, and new experiences.
