My Amazing Nordstrom Anniversary finds

This post is taking a little energy to write but I wanted to share my Nordstrom Anniversary sale finds with you all. Right now I’m recovering from cellulitis in my foot from a spider bite from three years ago. I can’t put any weight on my right heel so I took this day to binge watch Vampire Diaries (obsessed) and write this blog post finally.

Every year I look forward to shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which happens right before the fall and winter season. All the upcoming styles for the seasons are majorly discounted for avid shoppers to stock up before items are back to full price. Now I became a Nordy Club member recently and I got the Nordstrom credit card 3 years ago when I discovered this amazing sale from the first blogger I ever followed, Emily Ann Gemma, her blog is titled The Sweetest Thing. I highly recommend following her and seriously she is the sweetest person. There are a few bloggers I follow, that have great successful blogs and fabulous taste in fashion and home decor. I think as a fairly new blogger, it’s nice to have a few fellow bloggers that you can relate to. It’s cool to see when all these girls come from all over the world, and have completely different lives but it keeps this type of world interesting. I think we all want to be successful in this industry, and there are some girls who route for ya and some who don’t, and that’s ok.

A little about this sale, it’s super easy to shop and it’s first opened to bloggers who are collaborated with Nordstrom, they all get first dibs and I hope one day I get there with them. The second round is then opened to Nordstrom card holders (that’s me), I put it in my phone and I jump on the site on that hour it’s opened, I’ll tell you why in a second. The third round of shopping is open to the public. The reason I jump on right away is because a lot of items sell out very quickly. For example I had two items in my bag that I’m not getting because they were sold out as I was checking out. So i get refunded for those items. No biggie, just wasn’t meant to be. Plus they weren’t that pricey so I can always buy them at full cost later if I really want to, but not likely. I mainly have the Nordstrom credit card for this yearly sale. I buy for the two seasons and then I pay it off and save it for next year. Nordstrom has a pretty cool incentive with the card like $20 points towards an item. So I was able to go back after my first purchase and buy my super cozy and comfy Wubby. So glad I did because I love it and I wanted it last year and almost didn’t buy it again. I wear a lot of dressy clothes, I have more than I have occasions to wear them, but I’m just that type of shopper. So this wubby, which is the furry white fleece here, is something I will probably need this cold season to come, because I don’t really have anything like it, and I’m always staring in my closet with nothing casual and quick to wear. So I can’t wait to be that fleece and UGG boot type of girl this season.

This year I bought a black cardigan, two cami’s, a rustic orange reddish sweater, the wubby, a black long sleeve tee, and a really soft oatmeal colored Henley and black booties. Now I did also buy a purple Top shop sweater that I loved in the catalog but looks super boxy on my frame, so I’m going to return that unfortunately. Good thing with Nordstrom, is they give you the shipping return label and you get credited pretty quickly. You are able to easily track your packages and if there is anything not shipping, like my two ordered items, customer service is super nice and helpful and they were able to tell me my items were sold out.

I really wish I had earlier access to the sale to show people what to expect and want to buy for themselves but I’m not there yet. The sale is still going on though and probably by now, a lot of the sold out items are restocked, so I’m even going to go back on and look for a few things since I technically didn’t get three of the items I originally wanted. So if you are good and responsible and are great with your credit cards, this is the one I recommend along with the ULTA credit card, and other’s don’t really have great incentives and are’t useful. Those credit cards I have canceled. I really hope this post reaches a lot of you before the sale ends. You can message me about items or the card, i’m happy to help. And you can shop my outfits on my site or the Liketoknowit app, just download the app and follow Myemeralddiaries.
