Spring is just right around the corner, as I whisper to myself as I see another snowflake today!! As my favorite saying goes, “I’m so over it!” I am not winter person at all. I can’t snowboard or Ski, I usually have to drive in the snow and not enjoy it while sipping hot coffee and I have seasonal depression. So tonight I did a little closet cleanse and went through and found all my favorite Spring clothes!
Some pieces were new, like my Fuchsia Marc Fisher Pumps (can’t wait to wear only Valentine’s Day too though), my pale yellow cross tank I got on sale from last season for $19 on Nordstrom Rack, go stock up on those because they will stay in style. Everything else I already owned.
Do you know that probably 85% of us (just a guess) probably have no idea that we have some amazing outfits, if we just took some time to play around, we would discover we have one key piece that could make at least 5 outfits!
Take the classic blazer~ I have blazers in light pink, white, classic black (a few of the black ones), and red. I’ll probably have more once the Spring clothing comes to stores.
You can always throw the amazing black leather jacket over anything! I like to pair mine with spaghetti tanks, cozy white tees, and a sexy print top like leopard or snake skin(which is very in right now).
Who loves Rompers?!! This girl does, and there are soooo many at Francesca’s each season. I have so many rompers, some still have tags on them. Sometimes I just like to wait for the right occasion. But picnics, BBQ’s, wine festivals and date night! Perfect occasions for the cute rompers!
Jeansssssss, Who has a crap ton of jeans? I’m personally really loving the looks I’m seeing this year again with boyfriend jeans and heels and again, blazers. Always keep a pair of white jeans, skinny ankle jeans, flare bottom jeans (7seven sells some great ones) and I even like a pair that are distressed, I’ll be wearing those more this spring as well.
Blouses are a good idea, especially ones that can go from night to day with a few extra accessories and a cute pump. Store the work flats in your car for the transition. I find super cute and inexpensive blouses at Francesca’s and Marshalls.
Work/ formal/wedding dresses. I posted the 2 on IG both of which I got at Marshalls. They are professional yet form fitting. Perfect knee length and comfortable. One is by Calvin Klein and the other white one is Vince Camuto. Appropriate dresses for all occasions. I keep at least 2-3 on hand.
Then for that last and final look, I pair my black leather pencil skirt, a leopard silk top and my red blazer. Again, a work look that is both sexy and professional and pencil skirts can be paired with so many things. I paired mine once with just a reversible tank from express and a black pump for a date one night and it was the sexiest I ever felt. I’ve had that skirt for years! It’s my favorite investment.
Don’t forget the mule slip on, the leopard slip on shoes, and the classic nude pump either. Along with sunglasses, jewelry and of course my Kate Spade bags. So many cute bags at Target now and shoes, for jewelry I love to go to Francesca’s and for sunglasses too. Also ladies, don’t forget to frequent your Nordstrom Rack deals and Nordstrom Sales!! I’m a bargain shopper honestly and I’m ok with that! Invest from time to time but bargains help keep my closet fresh with new pieces to pair with my investment key pieces!
If anyone needs shopping help, let me know that’s what I’m here for!!
